... and a tour is not the only thing beginning.

I have a bit of news...

Some of you know that I was supposed to be in Uganda this past week with Compassion. And I was planning on going up until about a month ago when I found out that I was...

pregnant!!!

It's true, there is a human being being woven together by the hands of God in my womb. That is a crazy concept, trust me, it's blowing my mind.

I am only 8 weeks along but it's changing the way I look at everything. I know it's early to be telling people, especially the world wide web. (!) But I want this blog to be an honest place where I can write what is on my heart and connect with people. And what is on my heart lately is this baby. Which is why my blogging has been less frequent, I can't think of anything else to write about! Sort of like when I got Oso, I suppose. But this is slightly different. ;)

There you have it. Not that I have that off my chest, I'm sure I'll be writing more. For now, I'm going to ask for prayers. Being on the road isn't easy, and fortunately I'm traveling with great guys who barely even let me carry anything, but I need Gods strength to stay healthy (and sane). So I am grateful for any words you would speak to the Father on my behalf. Thank you!

I'll keep you updated...

Hmmm... I'm envisioning a virtual baby shower where you and Kirk set up a PO Box or something, and all we Alli Rogers fans make sure that baby is the best-dressed and most-accessorized baby that's ever been.

I'm doing a 15-mile run tomorrow morning. How about I do 15 miles of prayer for you?

I told my next-door neighbor that I did an early-morning 6 miles of prayer for her to ask for her joint pain to ease. She said, oh my God, today's been the best day I've had in a long time, and I didn't know why.

Imagine how you're going to feel after I do 15 miles of prayer.

I can see a trip to Waco in November may be in order.

Alli!!!!

So pumped for you! It's wild to think that the little junior high girl that once sang in my worship band is not having a kid of her own. Congrats. Parenting will blow your mind in amazing God-centered ways.

So excited for you,

z

Congratulations!!! My first baby turned 11 in August and this year more than ever it really struck me how incredible it is that God allows us to be a part of such a miracle as a brand new life! Treasure everything!
